The Challenge

We were in discussions with a regular customer regarding the Oz Child fit-out, where they encountered several challenges. They required a batten system that could accommodate curved walls and provide an easily replaceable solution for any potential damage.

The Solution

Leveraging our extensive experience, we proposed our clip system, which allows for the installation of battens around curved walls and makes damaged battens easy to unclip and replace. Additionally, the client sought a specific aesthetic effect. At Acoustic Panels Australia, we offer a wide range of finishes, including solid timber, plywood veneers, and melamine-faced boards. After thorough discussions, the best option selected was Hoop Pine plywood.

The Implementation

We utilized 40mm x 31mm Hoop Pine plywood finished with a 30% gloss, combined with our clip system. This solution was implemented across two sites in Melbourne, involving over 5000 lineal meters of battens.

The Outcome

The final installation met the client’s aesthetic and functional requirements, showcasing our ability to deliver tailored solutions for complex architectural needs.
